Chemical analysis?

Hi!

Water leaking into our garage from the outside contains an unknown greasy compound, smelling and feeling like a refined product -- could be oil or something else...

Does anyone know of a chemical lab that does residential chemical analyses?

Cheers

Karsten

Try your local university or ask your local city/county inspectors.

Chemical analysis?

Since it is a garage, I am going to guess that either the floor is really nasty and has oil on it, or someone has been pouring their oil from oil changes along the outside of the garage.

Chemical analysis?

Almost every small city will have a testing labratory. They don't care what it is, or where it came from, they just want to get paid for their work
