ceder deck

I built a ceder deck on the side of my house a few years ago I sealed it with a Cabot water proofer wood protector. It didn't hold up to well. I just sanded the whole deck down and am going to reseal it. I am looking for the best product to use! I want something to protect the wood and repel the water, Any suggestions?

Give Penofin a try. My cedar deck is still looking good after 18 years. You will need to resurface deck again after 2-3 years.

Agreed, Penofin is an excellent product. Nothing is going to last several years without maintenance, so plan on re-applying every couple years. It is a penetrating oil, and does a great job. In my opinion, deck "sealers" (Thompsons, Cabot, etc) are a joke.
