I have a new bedroom closet I wish to add cedar paneling. I purchased the paneling in 4' lengths by 4" wide boards. I have liquid nail and finishing nails.
Is there a "simple" way to install this? To keep this simple I will be applying in a vertical, up and down pattern, nothing complicated.
The closet is 8' wide by 7' high.
One board need to be cut approximately 18" added to the uncut board to fit floor to ceiling.
Is there a trick?
Is it Brown's SuperCedar? Just curious. What is the ceiling height?
If your ceiling height is 7' then by my calculations you'll have a 36" piece at the top if your paneling pieces are 4' long.
One suggestion for you is to have all the 4' boards at the bottom, put all the top 3' long boards in the same pattern above them and then cover over the seam with a piece of cedar trim.
Are the pieces you purchased tongue & groove? If so, you can nail it to the wall at the "tongue" and have the nails virtually hidden.
