Carpentry & Homebuilding Books

I was wondering if there is a good carpentry or homebuilding type of textbook out there. I'm not looking to build a home I just like to read and soak up as much info as I can. I know alot of carpentry skill comes from on the job learning but there still has to be some resources out there for the rest of us.
Any suggestions?

I found a great reference set from JLC.

I have both interior and exterior and find they very useful for many things.
