cabinet hardware

Our kitchen cabinets have no knobs on them and we are going to put some on. Is there a rule of thumb on were the height from the bottom of the cabinet to were the knob should be? I read on some that the height should be between 2.5" to 3" from the botom.

That sounds fine. If there's a lots of them there's a simple plastic template you can buy at Lowes or HD in the knob area so everyone will end up in the exact same spot without even using a tape measure.
Works on handles to. There no very expancive at all.
