Any waterproofing of basement walls should be done outside not inside.

Where are you?

Angus,Welcome to the forum----I've move this question to 'General Discussion'

Where are you located?
Concrete or block foundation?

Is there a water problem that you know of,or are you thinking of this waterproofing as a preventative measure?

All the more reason to do it on the outside. Which of course isn't going to happen now. Anything you do inside in an attempt to waterproof a below grade wall will be mostly wasting your money.
