breakfast bar countertop removal

I need help in figuring out how to remove a breakfast bar countertop. I can't figure out what is holding it on. It is 19 inches deep by 93 inches long. There are no visible supports.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?
