Bathroom exhaust fan

I want to add a bathroom exhaust fan. The ceilng in the bathroom is vaulted with only 6 inches of room between ceiling and roof deck. I have read that there are ceiling fans and wall fans. Which would be my best option?

Thanks

I would use a wall fan. They aren't as easy to find but do exist.

Thanks for the response. After a fair bit of searching, I found a couple of wall fans that should do the trick. Next, fishing wire through the wall/ceiling.

Doncha just love slab foundations? And no other electrical on the vent wall, huh?

Aura Vents has a bath fan that mounts the fan above the roof. Mine works great. Check with them and see if it will work for you.

ratherbefishing (me too) you sure you want that passive ventilation? 24 hours a day suckin AC air out? Might not be so bad in bath and it is up in hot room top air. I need similar thing for different app, this looks good compared to prices I've found. I'm gonna look for a powered damper.
