Basement flooring options

We have a 250 square foot basement that we are finishing. there is a drain (and hose that goes to the drain ) for the air conditioner. It is in the front/center of the room. We are planing on painting the floor. Are there any other options to our drain situation?

someone mentioned cutting the concrete and putting the hose in a notch in the floor. i cant imagine that would be a good idea.

Can you not redirect the drain hose from the air condition to drain it's water onto your lawn/property somewhere instead of into your basement catch basin?

I'm gonna presume you've already thought of that, so perhaps you could explain why doing that isn't feasible in your case, and we can direct our attention to solving THAT problem.

On one renovation we had to install an air handler in the basement to supply the first floor of the house, we then install a small pump on the floor next to the unit the pump had a small basin which had a float switch inside that turned the pump on when the water level reached a pre set height. then we hard piped it with, I believe a 3/8" copper line out through the foundation and onto the drive way along side the house. i,ll see if I can locate it and post it for you.
