auto gate opener DIY

kicking around the idea of installing and automatic gate opener for our fenced in yard.. the fence will go across the driveway and we dont want to get out of the car to open the gate to pull in to close the gate .... anyone have experience with a job like this and any tips or advice on the type of unit to purchase?

It works pretty much like a garage door opener...

They can be had as a Swing gate, or traverse travel gate...
