Attaching conti board ro concrete

Hi There

First post, just joined, so one question to start with.

My daughter has a narrow cement window ledge, and wishes to put a shelf on it to make it look better, and she wants me to attach a shelf I have cut down from her kitchen units. They are glossy one side so ideal, but it is conti board of course, and my question is, should I be able to stick it down with "no more nail". I have scored the board
under underneath

Sh

She wants me to attach

I had to google conti board, I had never heard of it. Particle board eh? Yeah, you can glue it down with construction adhesive. Depending on what you put on it, how well you glue it, and how much much contact there it is, it may stay put. Sounds like a fairly cheap thing to try, and you can re-evaluate if it falls off.

Thanks for reply, I was forgetting the site is International, and I live in Uk, so words are often different.

But I hear all you say, and understand, and must tell you, I did it today and all is well, I applied PVA (Unibond) to concrete first, then one hour later, stuck the board using " no more nails" adhesive.
