Hello
I need someone to in very simple words explain how they work and what they are for. Thank you for your time.

aquastats

An aquastat is used for water temperature to control something else.
Let's say you had a water cooled condenser and when the water temp reached 35 deg you wanted to turn heaters on.

On a heating/cooling system it may be used to disable/enable the fan until the water reached a certain temp.
