Andersen Renewal

Does anyone have an opinion about renewal by andersen windows? Is Fibrex material the wave of the future or not? I'm currently looking to replace aluminium windows on the second floor with windows with very little maintenance. Any input would be appreciated.

Andersen Renewal

I've put in a lot of these windows and most of them seem to be pretty good, better then Pella anyhow. I haven't seen any windows that are really as solid as I think windows should be.

I think windows, especially expensive ones, shouldn't have a lot of play in them. When you start cranking, I think it should move instantly, even if you stop and go the other direction. There's just too much slop in all of them. But like I say, when nobody is perfect, you have to take the best of what's there and Andersen makes a decent window, IMHO.
