Wooden Exterior retaining wall

1991msu Newbie   Join Date: Aug 2012 Posts: 1	Wooden Exterior retaining wall I have a 6 foot high wooden retaining wall in my back yard that runs vertical away from my home for about 30 feet. The wall was built to keep back earth from a lower level (basement) exterior door. The wall is giving way and is no longer vertical. What are some inexpensive options to correct the problem?

Was there any drainage built behind the wall? Was there any strong backs built into it to keep it from tipping? Was there any stone placed behind it for drainage?
