Wood Siding Removal with Lead

I'm considering purchasing a house in VT (built in the 60's) for a primary residence. I am going to remove the siding for various reasons, however there is a good chance that the wood has lead paint. Based on the pure volume of data, its hard to get a good answer on the best way to dispose of the wood that comes down. I have no problems putting down the proper plastic protection on the ground, removing chips safely etc. I plan to do this work myself, I do not plan to hire a contractor, I do not plan to rent the property.

The question is, how do I dispose of the wood that has lead paint on it?

Not finding a clear answer.

Thanks!

No, I havent sent anything at this point. I had heard that if it was done w/o a contractor and done for a primary residence it could be removed by the myself. The short answer like most today, my pockets are not very deep. Assuming that the wood siding ends up in a pile (properly wrapped) what experience has there been disposing of it?

You would think there would be a incentive to try and get rid of it properly rather than making it more complicated or by simply covering it and ignoring it as if it doesnt exist, and leaving liabilties out there for owners...

Any other cost effective solutions other than covering it up, not buying, or paying too much?
