windows wrapped with drywall?

I plan on "wrapping" my windows in my basement with drywall.

The "ledge" of the window and the sides and the top is approx. 12 inches away from the wall. They are deeply set, as I has to build my studs away from the wall.

Do I have to finish them with corner bead, and mudding, etc?
I do plan to put a trim around it.

What I'm asking, is do I have to install corner bead or can I just put the trim on?

(Have I made this as clear as mud?)

Thanks

Yes, you need to cornerbead and mud the the corners. It will give you a sharp edge to put the trim on.

You could always case them out with wood...

That sounds like a great idea, but I am way too much of a newbie to try that one.......
