yes, better constructed windows and doors will not only provide better energy efficiency but will last longer, provide greater security and operate better

ive trimmed out homes where the homeowner cheaped out on brand new windows... just before i start to install window casing i always check the operation of the window to see if it needs to be tweaked before closing things up. on 3 of the windows in teh house, the sashes literally fell out of the frame not good:no:. a well made window will operate smoothly and have tight weatherstripping to eliminate leaks and drafts
