window tape??

Window installer for 24 yrs, have no clue what you are talking about, unless it is flashing tape. That goes over the nailing fins on new construction windows, to seal against water and drafts.

window tape??

I heard of it recently. After the window wrap, then after the metal flashing, it goes between the metal and the window. Then, after nailing off the fin, the last tape covers the fin.

window tape??

i would caulk the window first then put the trim over the caulk, this way its sealed and the caulk is protected

dont lose faith in him it looks like he wants to give you a better job

Thanks tom...That makes sense. I know "he" said it doesn't caulk with the tape but if I mention the way you stated I think he would do what I ask for....hopefully!

window tape??

It's 2 sided tape that installers use instead of caulk. I'm sitting in front of one of those windows now and the shade is flapping in the breeze on a 6 degree day. I have double paned sealed windows too. Does anybody have any suggestions about caulking it? I work at a school and have a couple thousand to do.
