Window sill, how to cut?

I am trying to make a plan for redoing my window sills / casing and wanted to go to a more formal look with teh sil that extends past the wall and out some with the apron below

like in this picture:

my question is how do you go about making a sill like that where it comes out? if its painted I could see paybe attaching a half round maybe? but what about when its stained wood? any directions out there on cutting single pieces to look like this or how to make a sill like that? thanks!

If you’re talking about the rounded edge, you do that with a router. For the rest you need a chop saw and a table saw.
