Window Installation

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I have recently had egress windows installed and the exterior finishing seems questionable by the contractor. Hoping to get some opinions on it. Looking at the picture below, should there be any caulking between the window frame and the wood trim? Is that gap normal? also there is a gap at the siding that is about 3/8" wide and it seems like water can just run down behind the siding.

Thanks!

water will always run/get behind vinyl and just about every other type of siding, the top j channel shoud be ''tabbed'' so water is directed into the side j [it should be directed out over the top lock at the last panel before the sill]
hopefully the unit was flashed like it says in installation instructions that were glued to the window glass

trim job looks a little dicey:whistling2:you can caulk it to the window if you want but as far as water intrusion imo it's not necessary and will just become a maintenance issue
