why use roofing nail to attach a bathtub to studs ?
a few days ago i was told to use roofing nails to attach a bathtub to studs.
one short side of my recessed tub rests against a concrete platform that is as high as the tub and has a pressure-treated sole plate in which the tub needs to be fastened. i cannot find hot-dipped galvanized ROOFING nail but can find regular hot-dipped galvanized. other than the larger head, what makes roofing nails applicable for this purpose and would regular rust-resistant nails fit the bill ? |

why use roofing nail to attach a bathtub to studs ?
You could use a hdg decking screw. Really any fastener as long as its rated for pressure treated wood.
