what size beam do i need to change to?

I have a patio attached to my house and I want to change the 4x4 post to hollow tile and want to span the hollow tile columns every 20 feet. What size beam will I have to change the existing 4x8's to?

I too am curious about the hollow tile columns. 4"x12" works for a garage door so at 20' span a 4"x16" should do the trick depending on the tributary load of the roof. You can go smaller with an engineered beam like a paralam.
