What perm for interior paint ?

I lived in a mixed-humid climate (Western Arkansas).

My wall, from outside to inside, consists of vinyl siding/Zip wall sheathing/5.5" unfaced Roxul batts/5/8" drywall.

I'm wondering if I should use a low perm (<1 perm) latex primer on the drywall or if I should use typical latex primer (>5 perm).

The OSB in the Zip panels has a perm of 2-3, the membrane 12-16.

So, with a outer wall perm rating of 2-3 (which should allow drying somewhat to the outside), should I go with the low perm primer or the regular primer ?

Thanks,
Arky

Your way over thinking this, any quaility primer will work fine.

sorry, but i don't agree w/ joe. inside should generally be 5x (as a goal) more permeable than outside, though in ark that may not be accurate. i'd use the lesser perm rating, and make sure you have air sealed real well; that is more important than the paint. you may want to dig into buildingscience.com, and if they say i am telling a tale, pls advise.
