what mix for sloping concrete?

What should i use to slope a small 2x5 ish section of concrete that gets hit by rain? Its part of a garden shed and theres no wall on this side. The water is pooling into a low spot where new/old concrete pads connect. I'm thinking of floating a slope with mortar and bonding agent but i want this to last. I always see topping mix that has chipped off... I know ideally i'd have a min of 1/2" of new material thick but without taking a lot of concrete out I'd have to float to a thin section. Help on products and masonry theory...
