What fast setting adhesive to stick light to ceiling?

In an array of 6 low voltage ceiling lights one has become so loose in its hole in trhe plasterboard ceiling that it will not stay in place with the usual spring arrangement. It hangs on its wiring at present.

Is there a very fast setting, and strong, adhesive which could be used to stick the light fitting in place in the ceiling? It would have to be very hard grabbing, and fast setting, so that the fitting could be pressed up against the ceiling, and would then stay in place. There is no way to hold the fitting up for a long time.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

JB-QUIK made by JB Weld sets in 4 or 5 minutes and may do what you need.
There is 2 part 5 minute plain epoxy too.
This of course depends upon the ceiling surface.
Can you post us a picture? That always helps, and there may be an easier solution another may suggest!

Thanks very much for this suggestion. The problem boils down to sticking the brass rim of the lamp holder to a plasterboard ceiling. I am trying to attach a (not very good) picture.
