My NJ house was built back in the early 70's, late 60's and I have been told by many that roof sheathing code was 3/8 back then. I just replaced my entire roof and had that all ripped out. Current code for my TWP is 1/2 inch and that's what we put in. If you felt like you were gonna fall through w/ 1/2 inch I should have had you come down and walk on my roof, you'd feel much much better......
