Want a vinyl/plastic driveway gate

I've posted this in the lawn and garden section too.

I am trying to find a vinyl or plastic double driveway gate.
Picket fence style.

This is for a Keywest style home.

I have looked all over the internet and can't find one.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Garrett

Vinyl/plastic does not last very long, especially when abused or out in the sun. As for your question, Lowes, Home Depot sells the sections. Depending on how long the gate is, you may have to use a fence section, and place a wheel on the bottom.

I agree that vinyl or plastic degrades in the sun.

I don't mind replacing it periodically.

I looked at the Home Depot and Lowe's, but what they have isn't very attractive if modified for a driveway gate.

It's obviously not easy to find.

I would suggest you identify the style you want and build it out of composite lumber.

Brillant! You are right. I can get the style I want, and a custom fit.

Thanks,

Garrett

Actually, good quality vinyl fence holds up better than wood because it includes anti-UV material right in the vinyl. Wood can warp and rot, but vinyl is stable. We sell 6 and 8 foot drive gates online in eight styles - have a look at http://www.nationwidevinyl.com/Picket-Fence-Gates.html
