i think he means to have the azec to act as something that will cover both the wall sheathing and the joint in the foundation.. then the drip edge or flashing sits on that.. its a common detail and gives a bit of a shadow line.. as long as the azec is set into a bead of caulking , shouldnt be any issue
there is no sheathing. It is old style 2x4s with 1 by 4 cross bracing. The roofing felt underneath is in bad shape. Its been up there for for years so falling apart. After putting on a drip edge would you just nail up your starter strip on top of the lip of the drip edge?
