vinyl siding

My kids installed vinyl siding on my house and was installed in the direction where the overlap is very visible. Can that be corrected without pulling the siding all the way off?

DM
I completely answered the question as asked.

1. Unlock the panel above the seam to expose the nails using your trusty zip tool.
2. Pop the seamed panels off the nails a few feet or so on either side of the seam.
3. Unlock the bottom of those two panels. They will now be flopping in the wind.
4. Reverse the seams.
5. Re-nail the siding.
6. Lock the panels back together using your trusty zip tool.

Thank you!

I know it was fun trying to constantly remember to lap each piece the correct way on each wall I did.

(I just had to make the "timbuck too" joke..... Come on, you knew someone was going to.)

I will add… if you do want to reverse some seams don’t wait months or years to do it, unless of coarse you want to see just how much your siding has faded.

Good point, Ron. Especially if it's in the sun. Weeks could be noticeable.
