Venting Cathedral ceiling

I have a cathedral ceiling 15 feet long on 24 inch centers, vented on the soffits and a ridge vent. I have I beams 11 7/8" deep.

Is an 1.5 inch of air space between roof sheating and the fiberglass the entire width between joist and the whole length of the roof enough?

I live in montreal, trying to get maximun insulation.
I was going to use Tyvek to create the air space then fiberglass then foil faced insulation board(Thermax).

If you want maximum insulation, spray foam it.

i wouldn't stress over this too much. just check with the insulation manufacture for their recommendation. i just did my cathedral ceiling and used Roxul. they recommend a minimum of 2" on flat or low pitched roofs, so 1.5" on your cathedral ceiling would probably be fine.
