Vapour barrier-One man job?

Any tips on applying vapour barrier by yourself, or is it a job for two? I did my bathroom and made quite a mess with the acoutic sealant, hoping to avoid that with the rest of the house.

There's no reason that you couldn't do it alone, but like a lot of tasks in building and remodeling, it is easier with some help. Personally, I'd get someone to lend a hand.

It kind of depends on what you're using and where you're putting it. I've put up 6 mil poly on ceilings by myself. Start square along one wall and work the middle out keeping it taut. Then bring the sides after. Leave enough excess along the edges so that you can trim it back later.
