Question

vapor barrier, YAY or NAY ???

i have rarely been exposed to a more divided set of opinions than in regard to the use of 6-mil vapor barrier along with styrofoam scoreboard under concrete.

some say YES, some say NO.

should i or should i not, place a layer of vapor barrier under basement concrete in the mid-atlantic region ?

thanks !

The plastic will keep the concrete from wicking moisture after it has cured. We always use it.
