Vapor Barrier in crawl space

I just purchased a home that is 15 years old and there was some mold on the joists that was remediaed before I bought it. Now the crawl space does not have a vapor barrier only gravel and dirt. It is vented. Is it too late to install a vapor barrier to prevent further mold and moisture damage?

Vapor Barrier in crawl space

Is there a vapor barrier under the gravel?

Is there insulation in the joist bays of the floor system? If so, does that have a kraft-facing (vapor barrier)?

Check under the gravel for the 6mil. plastic sheeting. If not present, I'd move the gravel to install one on the dirt. 15 year old house should have plywood or osb (vapor retarders; same perms as kraft paper facing) used as the decking. No need to add faced insulation.
And, welcome to the forum!
