Using Felt Adhesive on Vertical Walls

I'm preparing to put felt or synthetic house wrap on a casita I'm building to use as an office. A contractor told me that if I use synthetic I should use the high strength spray adhesive
- six inches up from the bottom along the perimeter
- on all seams
- every so often while rolling it out.
I was thinking of going the extra mile and rolling contact cement on vs. the spray in the can. This seams to a common practice in the U.K. but not in america. Is the roof felt adhesive typically used for roofs the right adhesive for vertical walls too?

Only if you want to have a fire starter on your walls. This is one project, that I would not do. If you really want to do it, I would use a water based, low voc carpet glue.

Before you do this, try the felt with the carpet glue on a test piece of material that is the walls of the casita to see how it holds up and what it will look like.

What are you covering--- OSB or plywood?

Where is it located?

What siding will be installed?
