Underdeck insulation -how to protect from mice

The previous owner built a sunrporch that is 4' off the ground and open on two sides...not an enclosed crawl space...enclosing the space is not an option. Area is near woods and mice have been a problem crawling into the insulation between the floor joists of the deck. It 's been suggested that I put OSB or plywood to the bottom of the joists or consider Tyvex type product stapled to the bottom.

Couple of questions. I live in known termite area (South Carolina) and am concerned about termites eating through the OSB or plywood. Also the heavy sheets would be more difficult for me to install. Tyvex although tough to tear would seem to be easy prey for mice to chew through. Is there some other recommended methods to keep the mice out that might be easier for me to install or am I wrong in some of the assumptions above regarding the OSB, plywood or Tyvex?

Thanks,
