Under the deck options.

My deck is about 2 feet of the ground and it's all composite and I thought I had seen somewhere composite or PVC either tongue and groove boards to use vertically.

yes you could use composite vertical board siding, just leave them apart a 1/4" to 1/2" to allow ventilation

That sounds good to me I'll look into it today. I also still have some deck board leftover that I could also use. I'll try to take pics today for some feedback.

Are you trying to enclose the area under the deck?
If so composite decking needs air flow on the undersides so it will not mold up.

I had some leftover deck boards and I played with it today some. I will leave space for ventilation. I did like the look of it but I still have to order more material. For the 14x16 area with 2 stairs it would end up costing about 2 grand. I'm using trex transcends and the deck boards are spiced rum with a vintage lantern boarder. The stairs are spiced rum so I choose to do the vertical boards spiced rum to match the decking but of course that's the more expensive one.
