Typical Contractor Fee?

I've been seeing general contractor fees at 20%, but most of the sites seem to imply this is a commercial fee. Is the fee typically lower for a residential (basement) remodel? The remodel was a rough finish--frame, drywall (incl. ceiling), paint and subfloor only for a 23 x 23 room. Some electric and no plumbing. Do remodel contractors typically charge the top 20% (I should note this guy uses a regular crew, so there wasn't any hunting down subs. In addition, I agree to let him do it as a down time side project while his guys worked next door).

Thanks in advance...

On a fill in job like that, my fee would still be 10%, but I am in a different market then Tscar. If I did not have the crews (my own guys) however, I would charge a higher percent, but cost plus 10% is typical in residential work.
