type of glass (tempered, laminated, etc.)


Why Larsen, Tradewinds model storm doors omit info on type of glass (tempered, laminated, etc.) In a full glass storm door, it would seem important to know what type of glass is used.

Doors are required to have tempered glass for a long time. There should be a mark in one corner of the glass indicating it is tempered. If it does not, it is not. Laminated glass is not a requirement.

I think they use tempered on everything except the Secure Elegance doors, which uses laminated.

You don't have to worry, none of them will break into giant shards that are suitable for bar room brawls...
