While I think that skymaster has a great point, handing your builder the letter first may be a mistake. Give hime the chance to do right first then make it tasty. Make no mistake once you hand him the letter all good will is off Has he been hard to work with or is he trying to pass off crappy work, Most of us have alot going on and yes we miss things that is what the walk throughs are for to catch them early. If he's a good builder hell fix it without threats. I'm a nice guy but threaten me wit h a lwsuit and I realy not have any reason to do anything but the industry min. which is crap in most areas. In track homes that 1/2" may actualy pass Good luck and stay nice until its time not to be

We've been pretty cordial to each other - I will see what he says after he sees it this Thurs. If he says "they're all like that", then we'll have a problem.
