toggle strength

I'm installing a wall mount sink tomorrow with no mounting bracket or blocking. According to the manufacturer no bracket is needed. As far as the wall goes it's 1/2" ply with 1/4" wainscot so I'm considering mounting the sink with 5/16" toggles. The sink only weighs 30lbs. Should 2 5/16" be strong enough? thanks

If you have 1/2" ply, why use toggles, why not use some #10 or #12 1-1/4" pan head screws?

The key thing here is what do the mfg's installation instructions recommend?

The sink may only weigh 30 pounds but what if somebody decides to sit on it?
