Tips on mixing mortar mix correctly.

Hi, I am laying some CMU's with type S premixed mortar mix. I am getting the mix either too wet or dry, any tips on mixing this correctly? Thanks, Jim

Tips on mixing mortar mix correctly.

Mix it somewhat wet, to pancake batter consistancy (and throughly), then let it rest for 15 minutes, then shake it up again, and it will be just right.
