Tiling with very small pieces

Im tiling a backslash with 1" mosaic glass tiles. Im complete except for some places where I have to cut the tile to fit a line against the wall. I have to do these cuts on individual tiles.

Is there a trick to working with very small pieces of tile (1/4 inch) and thinset Im having a hardtime getting the tile to align properly and the thinset not getting in the joints with such small pieces? can I use an epoxy for these few pieces instead?

The trick is to layout the tile so you don't get the slivers.

yeah I realize that a bit too late. unfortunately working with 1" mosaic tiles you get slivers either way unless you you slowing increase the grout line spaces which I didn't have much room to work with here as well.

any suggestions once you get in this bind?

The sooner the better with a stiff scraper.
