Tiling over plastic shower base

I presently have a corner shower in a half bath. One of the glass panels was fallen into and the whole frame is out of wack and needs replacement. We have been thinking about tiling the shower. I've been researching on the topic and have a question. Can the present shower base be used and tiled over? it is in gerat shape and I can extend the drain upwaard to make it flush with the tile. Shure would solve that whole pan issue. The walls are no problem. Thanks in advance.

no. tile will not stick.

Agreed, you'd need to change out the base in order to tile. Tile won't stick and certainly won't last in that installation.

Someone tried something similar at this house, but in the hallway
Plastic tiles were down, they went over them
Grout cracked, you could feel the tiles moving up & down as you walked on the floor
