threshold extender

I had a guy install a new exterior entry door and the threshold at the bottom of the door does not extend out to the house side it is too short. I know they have threshold extenders but the ones I have found do not interlock with my threshold. I have checked the local store where I bought the door and they have nothing, they suggessted adding a wood piece to take up the space. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem without taking the door out and starting over?

Make sure you also post a picture, no one's going to know what he installed from here.
