Thinning Joint Compund


I bought a box of premixed all purpose joint compound to finish my garage. Should I mix a little more water into the mud before I use it, or should I use it directly out of the box?

This is what I've got:



Also, can I use this mud as a final coat also, or do I need topping mud for that?

Thinning Joint Compund


I usually thin mine with a little water and you can use it for your bedding and top coats.
