Temporary Tile Wall

I am involved with a school related project. The project is a tile wall. The "wall of tile" cannot be permanently attached to the existing block wall. I would like to find a way to display the tiles with a wooden frame around it. I have approximately 100 4x4 tiles to display. I was wondering, what type of material to attach the tiles onto... plywood or cement backer board? How would I temporarily attach this to a block wall (Would the weight of the final project be a factor)? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Temporary Tile Wall

Basically, you will have to build a wall that fits in sections. Problem is, you figure the weight of 100 tiles, Plywood, and 2x4 framing, it becomes a heavy project.
