Temporary brace wall for Cathedral / Vaulted ceiling

I am cutting into an outside load bearing wall to put in framing for a new window. With a standard ceiling, I would just put a temporary bracing wall about 3 feet to the inside to support the structure, but this is the low side of a cathedral ceiling. How do I support the scissor truss from the inside?

It seems that if I cut the 2x4s studs of the support wall to match the truss and put a top plate on it, the load wouldn't transfer into the temp wall as the wall is not braced horizontally and the load would have a horizontal moment. Am I missing something obvious here? I can't find reference to a temporary support wall for a scissor truss cathedral anywhere on the web. Seems odd.

2 questions- how steep is the interior pitch? And isn't the other end of the truss sufficiently tied in to the existing structure as to prevent that kind of movement? I would think all your temp wall has to do is provide bracing for vertical pressure as the other end is allready braced for lateral movement.
