taping and mudding backerboard in a shower
we have learned a lot from these posts. We are in process of taping and mudding the shower backerboard - we are using fiberglass self-adhesive tape and we will use thinset for mudding. The question is, do you tape the screws as well - we used cement board screws. We will be tiling.

are you using alkali resistant tape made for backerboard?

To the first responder - that's exactly what we thought - what's the point. So we're not going to.
To the 2nd responder - yes, we used the alkali resistant tape. I think we're on the right track - thanks to all of the people who help on these sights. |
