Sunrise Affordable Homes-Good modular home dealer?

I'm looking for information on Sunrise Affordable Homes. According to their website they're located on Route 47 in Vineland and have been in business since 1988. The reason I am asking is because although modular homes truly are homes and not trailers anymore, I've heard that they are hit or miss. I've heard that some manufactures make truly well built quality homes, and some make quickly built shoddy buildings that don't last. Can anyone fill me in on the company?

I was interested in their Cape Cod models which I'd like to put on a full basement on about an acre. After seeing what crap you get in NJ for $250K, I'd like to see how far my dollar goes with NEW construction. My plan was to locate some land, have a full height basement built, and set the Cape Cod on top. Also, I sent an e-mail to the company asking what their policy was with regards to the "finish" of the homes. I asked if they deliver homes that are 100% finished on the outside (siding/roofing/windows/etc...) but not on the inside. Basically, I would paint, do my own flooring, tile, add fixtures, etc... I would specify that all wiring and plumbing be in place however. It was my thinking that this would make the total cost of the home itself lower, allow me to do the work myself (which I enjoy) or with help from friends in the business, and allow me to spread the work out over time in the interest of spreading the cost. I could live in the home as I finished it basically. Do modular home companies typically do this? Will I save in the long run?

http://www.sunriseaffordablehomes.com/

Here is the model I like, which starts at $48K

http://www.sunriseaffordablehomes.com/cape-cod.htm

I also found this company in (relatively) nearby Scranton, PA:

http://www.simplexhomes.com/

Simplex's website is much more extensive and they've been in business 35 years, but no pricing info that I could find.

What I would do, is go and take a look at them first hand.

That way you know before hand about quality etc......
