stupid people...

after seeing the pics it does not seem that you have to much to worry about regarding the beam. after checking the straightness of the beam and if not straight are you going to be able to jack up the beam to get it back in place? also, not sure about the footing too. where they cut the post it seems there would be a footing there but how will you know for sure?

i would have to bust up the concrete and do another one but im hoping it didnt drop too much, i can always probably just install a jack post in the spot. i want to at least put one in as i was going to anyway before i actually confirmed they cut it out and didnt reinfornce anything around it to take the load

stupid people...

the 1st 2 pics are underneath the kicthen sink and obviously had water damage at one point. nothing has leaked or was wet since i moved in here a few months ago. the 3rd pic is underneath the master bath which looks like it leaked around the sink and toilet. they did re do the other bathroom and they did put new sub flooring down. the last 2 pics look real nice hey! how worried should i be about these. the inspector said i shouldnt be but now im thinking he didnt know as much as i thought he did. i would like to re plumb this area if at all possible at a reasonable price but my guess is it wont be cheap
